A Macaron is a French meringue-based cookie sandwich that is made of almond flour, powdered sugar, granulated sugar, egg whites and food coloring. It’s round shaped with smooth tops, ruffled edges called (feet) and a smooth bottom that can be filled with sweet frosting like buttercreams and cream cheese, as well as delicious ganache and fruit jam fillings.
